Carolina Heritage Vineyard & Winery was established in 2005 and is the first USDA-Certified Organic vineyard and winery in North Carolina. It is located in the center of the Yadkin Valley AVA, on Highway 268 just 3 miles east of Elkin and Highway I-77. Wine tastings are available on Saturdays and Sundays from 1PM to 6PM and by appointment. (Closed month of January except by appointment.) Wines currently being offered include French/American hybrids (Traminette, Chambourcin) and native American grapes (Chambourcin-Cynthiana Blend, Carlos, Noble and a Muscadine Blush.)
Carolina Heritage hosts Burch Station Bluegrass jam session led by The Elkin Creek Boys every Saturday from 1PM to 6PM. It is open to the public at no charge. Local pottery from the Yadkin Valley Craft Guild members is also available for sale in the tasting room.
