Organically grown and farmers pledge produce is available in season and all produce is grown in Caroline or adjacent towns. In addiiton the market features local artwork, photography, crafts and some prepared food. The market is open Saturdays from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. beginning the first Saturday in May and ending the last Saturday in October. It is held in the front truck bay area of a former fire station, now owned by the Community Center, in historic Brooktondale, N.Y. This small town is near Ithaca, N.Y. and Cornell University, in the heart of Finger Lakes scenery and wine country as well as close to many beautiful state parks. The market is also near a portion of the Appalachian trail and mountain biking trails. (Farmers Pledge produce is raised locally by farmers who feel that the Federal organic standards aren't strict enough.)

When and Where  

(May-December)
Saturday's from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Brooktondale Community Center, 522 Valley Rd., Brooktondale, N.Y. (in the old fire hall) The market begins the first Saturday in May and continues through the last Saturday in October. Also open one Saturday in November and one in December. Check the website for those dates.
