Casa Nueva is an innovative worker-owned cooperative based in southeastern Ohio. We are dedicated to strengthening the environmental, economic and social well being of our community by promoting wholesome products, democratic participation and responsible practices.
Casa Nueva Restaurant, Cantina & Bodega is open year-round. In our 19 years of operation the worker-owners have been dedicated to purchasing from local farmers, fellow food entrepreneurs and other coop businesses. We currently purchase between 75% to 90% of our ingredients from within a 75 mile radius of Athens. Aside from purchasing from over 20 local farmers, we provide staff to certain farmers to and pay their wages for a couple of shifts per week during the spring and summer seasons. W
