Casselmonte Farm is an USDA Certified Organic farm. We are looking forward to Asparagus in April/May. June will produce beautiful Shiitake Mushrooms (through October), accompanied by baby bok choy, kale, beets (red and golden), broccoli, cauliflower, and spinach! The big news is the six varieties of heirloom Tomatoes growing in our hoophouse that should hit the market the first week in June! Lucious blueberries and blackberries will be available in late June. Raspberries will be available through most of the summer and early fall. In July, the field heirloom tomatoes (35 varieties) arrive, plus Crenshaw melons, okra and eggplant! In the fall, we'll have greens again but the real deal is Ginger - white and yellow! Available the first of October. Plus we've added rhubarb, quince and figs to our line up!
At Casselmonte, we are "bringing taste back to the table!"
Our helpers include Jake, the English lab, and the Vizslas ~ Belle, Mira, Remek and Blaze. We have 5 acres under cultivation in Powhatan, and manage the rest of the farm for wildlife, especially quail.

We fulfill individual orders and sell every Saturday at the South of the James Farmers Market in Richmond, and Thursday afternoons (4-7:00) at the Powhatan Farmers Market. We're online with LuLus (Fall Line) and Local Roots (Center for Rural Culture) co-ops.
