Crown Enlighten (farmers market management) and its partners - County of Kern, The California Endowment, Kasier Permanente, Central California Regional Obesity Prevention Program (CCROPP) and Paramount Farm are pleased to announce the grand opening of Cecil Park Farmers Market. Join Delano Chamber of Commerce during our kick-off event Tuesday, June 1, 2010, at 12:00 p.m. in Cecil Park. Cecil Park Farmers Market a certified farmers market in Cecil Park (near the skate park), will offer a variety of locally produced foods including ethnic and specialty vegetables, herbs, and fruits sold by minority and immigrant growers new to farmers markets as well as by experienced vendors, and is made possible by a grant to Kaiser Permanente.

Cecil Park will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. every Tuesday through the fall. Its location and hours of operation make it convenient for high school teachers and students, FAX bus riders, and WIC, Senior WIC, and Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program clients will also have access to fresh fruits and vegetables; vouchers and Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) will be accepted.
