Kumquats have been long known as "the little golden gem, for a reason. Its stellar blend of sweet, and sour makes them the ideal snacking fruit. The kumquat has a thin, sweet peal, and a zesty, tart center. You eat kumquats as you would a grape, skin, and all. They taste best when gently rolled between your fingers tips, as this releases the essential oils in the rind, and adds to its flavor. The kumquat can also liven up a plain glass of water, or bring your favorie salad to life.
