Our Lavender Essential Oil has balancing effects. Initially, it has a reviving affect, but tends towards sedating or calming effects in the long run. Lavender oil helps treat stress or nervous tension. It is very useful in treating a variety of skin conditions, including sores, burns, insect bites and may help in treating eczema, acne and psoriasis.

Lavender may be used to treat: - stress and tension - irritability - depression - insomnia - shock - nervous tension - headaches - muscular pains - rheumatism

Properties: - anti-bacterical - anti-inflammatory

Safety Information: - non-toxic - non-irritant - non-sensitizing

How To Use: Massage. Mix 3-5 drops of lavender essential oil in about 2 tsp of base oil (such as jojoba oil, almond oil, olive oil, or even a lotion base) to make a blended oil. Rub onto body or desired treatment area.

Baths. Fill bathtub with warm water. Add 4-6 drops of lavender essential oil directly to the tub. The warmth of the water allows the essential oils to penetrate the skin.

Compress. Pour hot water into a bowl and then add a few drops of essential oil (2-10 drops depending on bowl size, a normal cereal bowl would take 3-4 drops). Soak a face cloth or small towel in the mixture and squeeze excess water out. Place cloth on area to be treated and wrap with plastic food wrap to keep warm. Dip the face cloth in the mixture every 20 minutes, and repeat 3 times. May also be done using cold water to treat certain headaches.
