Pacific Golden Chanterelles grow wild along the coasts of Oregon and California. These mushrooms are so prolific in our area, the Oregon legislature designates it the official "state mushroom".
Chanterelles grow singly or in clusters in areas of Douglas Fir, Tanoak, and Huckleberry. Because we are in a temperate region, blessed with abundant rain, our chanterelle season extends from mid-October through mid-January most years. If in season, we might also have Fresh Chanterelles available.
We harvest selectively as long as the season lasts, picking only those mushrooms which are firm, well-formed, and free from bugs.
Oregon Wild Mushrooms (now known as OtterBee's Farm & Fungi) practices sustainable harvesting of wild mushrooms from our forests, and naturally grown produce from our market garden.
You can purchase fresh wild mushrooms, vegies and fruit in season, and dried varieties in stock year round.
