Independence Park Farmers Market - Chicago, Illinois

Knife Sharpening: Dave and Amanda, our wonderful knife sharpeners, will be at the market Oct. 14 and Oct. 28. In addition to fixing up your favorite knives, you can give them your old knives and scissors that they will repurpose. They might be given to soup kitchens, culinary students in need of assistance, homeless shelters, or low-income senior homes. If the knives are sold, that money will be given to charity.

John Arena, 45th Ward Alderman, will be at the GIPNA table during the market from 9 to 11 am.

Join Multilingual Chicago from 9 to 10 am for an interactive, immersive and culturally rich Spanish class for kids. Children will learn Spanish through games, art projects, songs and lots of laughter. Of course, adults are welcome too.

The free Childrenâ?™s Craft Class will be taught by Indy Park neighbor Sarah Clatanoff and her daughters from 10 am to noon. Chloe Cosgrove will assist. The kids will learn how to finger knit.
