We are a small family farm in southern Maine raising certified organic chicken, eggs, vegetables, and berries. We raise about 1200 birds a year and sell both whole birds and cuts, fresh and frozen, at the farm and at local farmers' markets. We do all the processing ourselves right here at the farm. Our chickens are raised on pasture with a healthy diet of grass and clover, 100% organic grains, and all the bugs they can chase down and catch. We have fresh chicken available from early May to mid-October and frozen chicken on hand most of the time.
Our farm has been a Chick family homestead since at least the 1700s. The family name lives on in the road that runs by our farm: Chick's Crossing Road was named for the railroad crossing that once served this part of Wells.
