City Greens Produce

The Mission of City Greens produce is to provide access to fresh, quality and affordable produce to our neighbors, to promote healthy living in our community, and to provide a space for our neighbors to interact. We recognize the importance of knowing where our food comes from and supporting local farmers as part of our extended community. City Greens collaborates with River Hills Farmers Market Alliance, who supply naturally grown fruits, vegetables and free-range eggs each week. A local St. Louis bakery, Black Bear Bakery, is also supplying delicious breads.

City Greens is operated out of Catholic Charities Midtown Center, a social service agency serving low income families in the city of Saint Louis. We offer free memberships to families living below the poverty guideline and all other sponsoring members pay a $100 fee. A $60 half membership is also available and allows members to shop for 10 visits of their choice. All members, regardless of income, shop at the same whole sale, affordable prices. Membership fees help to subsidize select produce and eggs so all may have access to fresh foods. Beginning Thursday, May 27th, City Greens is open Thursdays and Fridays, 12-6 pm and the first Saturday of every month from 8:30-11:30 am.
