We have a vegetable CSA on 20 acres of this 285-acre farm. Our pick-up sites include the farm and Dupont Circle in Washington DC, and our members always have a list of crops they can you-pick for free any time at the farm. Clagett Farm also raises grass-fed beef and operates a native tree nursery. As a property of the Chesapeake Bay Foundation, we take school trips on educational field trips of the farm and the nearby Patuxent River (www.cbf.org). And April through November, we welcome individuals who would like to come work for vegetables, any weekday or Saturday.
March 2014 is the next opportunity when we will sell shares to new members in our CSA. Send us an email now for details.
Season: May through November
Type: single farm
# of Shares: 270
Full Share: $515/year if picked up at the farm, $575/year if picked up at Dupont. New members pay an additional $50 their first year only. All low-income households pay half-price.
Work Req? No

This is my first year as a CSA member and I love it! I take whoever in my family want to go and we enjoy the drive from Annandale (25 miles). When we get there, we review the "you pick" items to see if want any of these additional items to our share portion.... [more]

Though they are not in my area to use their produce, I have heard about them and heard them speak at many events. I super applaud their work and have heard good things about fun on the farm. Christina Chambreau
