I've been raising hosta ever since we were the nursery owners of Sugar Creek back in the 80's! Since about 1998 I've since been selling hosta wholesale and to local customers from my greenhouses at my farm. In the last 2 years I've been easier to reach from in town and I am happy to meet with you at my in town location. I have about 80 or more varieties of hosta and although I can't keep up with all the different varieties (officially there are over 7000 cultivars registered now!) I do always try to keep the American Hosta Growers Association award winners available. I'm expanding my business and plan to change over the name from Turkey Run Hosta to Claire's Garden. The new name, while less specific, allows me to cover more ground, so to speak. I am raising more and more vegetables. I have a large garden and am adding a high tunnel greenhouse to extend the season. Right now I am ready to sell lots of fresh cut herbs: basil, chives, oregano, parsley, thyme, mint, lavender, catnip, and rosemary. I will have lots of tomatoes and peppers a little later this summer. In the fall I plan to raise a large crop of broccoli.

I've known Claire for years, so yes, I'm a little biased. Her hostas are superior to anything you will find anywhere! Incredible performance with the plants we got from her.... [more]
