We grow all of our vegetables on two acres of market gardens as well as in two season extending greenhouses. In addition, our farm consists of 40 acres of sugar bush where we harvest maple sap the old-fashioned way with buckets and boil it into syrup in a wood fired arch.
The CSA vegetables come washed, bagged and packed in a reusable box. A full share is enough for a family of fou to six hearty eaters, half a share is good for a couple or a family with very young children. The season starts with lots of baby greens and radishes, then snow peas, sugarsnap peas, green beans, broccoli, beets, carrots, cucumbers, summer squash, fingerling potatoes, eggplant, peppers, tomatoes, corn, salad mix, chard, kale, winter squash, a variety of herbs and much more.
We raise 100 free range Rhode Island Red laying hens which give us 30 dozen eggs per week. We can include eggs in your share for $3.50 a dozen.
Why is the half share more than half the regular price? Well, it takes us the same amount of time to harvest, clean and pack everything for both size shares. In addition we have to factor in the cost of transportation, which remain the same as well. Keep in mind, this is still a great deal and if you can't handle a full share, the half share is the best option.
A wide selection of produce is delivered each week, all grown without chemicals. We only use organic fertilizer, compost and manure from our flock of chickens. Optional free range eggs, maple syrup and poultry available.
