The Co-op Farmers Market is sponsored by area farmers and the Newark Natural Foods Co-op. It meets in the Market East Plaza shopping center, rain or shine, every Sunday from 10am to 2pm through the spring, summer, and fall of each year. The season begins the first Sunday in May and ends the Sunday before Thanksgiving. You will find a large selection of locally grown, natural and organic produce, herbs and plants. In addition, we have a wide variety of prepared foods including home-canned goods likes jam, salsa and relish, baked goods, and cheese. We also have a few local vendors who sell hand-made pottery, jewelry and soaps. Everything sold at the Co-op Farmers Market is locally grown or locally made! The goals of the Co-op Farmers Market are to support and help keep local farmers in business and to provide shoppers with the best fresh produce available.
