Thiese seed have been passed down for generations I have been carefully saved every year since. They are completely unique. The flowers are truly unbelievable. These are the old-fashioned cockscombs from years ago. They grow up to three feet tall and have enormous burgundy flower heads that stretch to 12" across. They will also have numerous side shoots that are often three or four inches across. They are a deep ,rich burgundy color and ,when cut, make a stunning everlasting. The leaves are compact, green with a red tinge. The plants require and love sunshine and tolerate a wide range of soil conditions. They love heat and tolerate drought making them ideal for southern gardens. Cool weather makes them tend to early flowering almost guaranteeing flowers for northern gardeners.
