New to Columbia Farms in 2011 is the addition of a naturally grown vegetable garden. We are growing produce that is sold at the local farmers market. This year we harvested red beets, yukon gold potatoes, red potatoes, russet potatoes, green and wax beans, several varieties of leaf lettuce, zucchini squash, crook neck squash, butter cup squash, two kinds of cucumbers, green peppers, onions, kohlrabi-white and purple, swiss chard. Because of a late planting our corn and tomatoes were not ready for market.
Within the next year or two we want to expand to a CSA, subscription farm. This family farm has been in the family since 1891. We are located next to the Flathead River just 15 miles from Glacier National Park.
