Community Food Initiatives is a membership based non-profit that promotes self-sufficiency as it relates to food production. We help people acquire garden space and teach them how to grow, maintain, harvest, cook and preserve their own food, using sustainable and organic practices. We are always looking for volunteers to join our Gardening Angel group. We are coordinating the following projects; Edible Schoolyard, Community Composting, Seed Saving and the Athens County Community Gardens.
Come and check out our Edible Schoolyard, Community Composting and Seed Saving projects. We promote self-sufficient and sustainable food practices.
