Compton Family Farm

In the Mood for Good Food?

Once there was a glum, gloomy granny Who happened to meet a nice girl named Annie. The little girl asked, "How come you are sad? The sun is shining. You should be glad!" "My dear," said the granny, "I'm in a bad mood because I am tired of store-bought food. The meat there is fatty, injected, and dry. The doctor says, 'cut down on that or you'll die." The store fruit looks great, but the taste isn't there. Healthy, ripe vegies, it seems, are quite rare. My gardening days have long since gone by. That's why I'm sad," she said with a sigh. Anne said to her, "Be of good cheer! My folks have a place that is not far from here Where you can buy healthy, all-natural meat Which is juicy, low-fat, and tender to eat. They also sell blackberries, raspberries, tomatoes, Green beans, peppers, and fresh-dug potatoes!" Anne, taking that lady by the arm, Brought her to Compton Family Farm! "Oh, yes!" Granny cried, with a smile on her face As she saw the wholesomeness of the place. She purchased some chicken and berries, and then, Promising Annie that she'd come again, She left the farm feeling wonderfully fine, Eagerly waiting the hour to dine.
