The Concord Community Market envisions itself as a vibrant gathering place for farmers, individuals, families and artisans. It will be an opportunity to celebrate local culture and traditions thereby strengthening the bonds of fellowship in Concord, Massachusetts and its surrounding communities.
By bringing fresh local foods to the people of Concord, Massachusetts and surrounding towns, we learn to appreciate where our food comes from and how to prepare it for maximum health and benefit. By providing a venue for local artists and craftspeople, we underscore Concord's long-standing reputation as a cultural destination.
We dedicate ourselves to these goals by supporting local farmers and artisans and by encouraging others to participate in this endeavor. By doing so, we acknowledge the future, which will increasingly call for simplicity and sustainability, and we honor the past three hundred years of New England agricultural tradition.
We invite you to become a member of Concord's first community market in 2011! Please visit our website for more information and to tell us more about you and your products. You can also find us on Facebook under Concord Community Market.
We are teaming up with The Old Manse's annual Fall Festival to preview the market this October 10-11. Last year the event was attended by over 7,000 people and included performances by musicians, poets, historians and authors and featured approximately 30 exhibitors and vendors.
If you are interested in becoming a vendor for October 10th and/or October 11th please let us know by either visiting http://www.concordcommunitymarket.org or emailing us at firstname.lastname@example.org! THANKS!
