Contented Acres Produce

Contented Acres Produce is dedicated to providing quality produce to local customers while improving and maintaining a healthy soil and farm ecosystem. Through biodiversity we encourage a nature-based ecology that maintains plant health with minimal outside inputs and maximum nutritional value in our fresh fruits and veggies. We save seed from many of our open-pollinated and heirloom varieties and start our own transplants in our hoophouse. All of our produce is sold direct-from-the-farm through our CSA program and our field stand. Visit us 9 a.m. until noon on Sunday and Thursday mornings for fresh items picked that day!

It's only May, but that's how long Spring lasts in the Valley. Fava beans and garlic scapes are about over. But we have Portuguese kale, 7top turnips for greens, bok choi and Napa cabbage. Garlic harvest began this week with a few Russian Red. Late broccoli will be back soon. Mexico Midget tomatoes are ripening a few for me to munch on, but tomatoes and cucumbers will be a few more weeks before any serious harvest. Santa Rosa plums and Snow Queen white nectarines will also start in June.
