Spring is here and the Cook County Farm and Craft Market will be in it's 17th year. During our long northern Minnesota winters the beauty of the snow, woods, and Lake Superior inspire us to create our crafts. We look forward to spring planting so we can watch our gardens emerge in our short summer season. We hope to see returning friends and meet new interesting visitors who come here to experience the peace of this "real world" that we all enjoy year around. We will begin our Market this year on May 24th from 9-1 in the Senior Center parking lot, just down from the only stoplight in Grand Marais. Many of our experienced vendors will return and some new ones have signed up. Along with plants, produce, baked goods, canned goods, and flowers we offer several woodworkers, potters, jewelers, carvers, painters, fiber work, organic dog biscuits, and much, much more. All of the growers and artisans are local so whether you are a visitor or a resident you can buy local here! Except for special events, our normal hours are 9-1 on Saturdays, weather permitting.
