Copper Cricket Farm

The Copper Cricket Farm is a family run diversified vegetable CSA located in Northampton County on Virginia's Eastern Shore. Our growing methods promote the health of the Chesapeake Bay, which our farm borders. Our 8-acre farm has been producing for five years, using intensive cultivation strategies emphasizing the use of on-farm and non-commercial inputs. Currently the farm produces all vegetables utilizing 1 1/2 acres for vegetable production with the remaining land in pasture, buffer, and barn.

By focusing on the quality of our soil, we produce over a hundred varieties of nutrient rich, healthy and tasty vegetables and herbs for our customers without the help of fertilizer boosts or insecticides, which interfere with the plants' natural defenses from disease and pests. Our farm avoids the use of plastics and minimizes petroleum inputs, using predominately hand labor. Our same day, hand picked vegetables are personally delivered in wooden crates to local customers weekly. We offer a subscription service available from late April to December.
