We are a truly diverse family farm. Our farm supports 3 generations in 3 households that all farm for a living. Everyone gets to do what they like best and as a result we have several enterprises under one roof.
Our farm started as a Cider Mill and has gone through many changes since 1886. We now offer produce, beef, maple syrup, ice cream, vegetable plants, flowers, and holiday wreaths directly from our farm. Our family also has a conventional dairy farm and we have draft horses and oxen that we use regularly for farm work.
In the past We-Li-Kit farm was a large producer of Maple Syrup and after some time off we are back in the sugarbush once again and will have Pure CT Maple Syrup available for sale this season at the ice cream stand.
Our Abington Grown produce features a large variety of fresh picked vegetables grown without the use of pesticides. Abington Grown is committed to using only untreated seeds (open pollinated, heirloom and traditional hybrids, never GMO), natural fertilizers, cover crops, beneficial insects and microbes, crop rotations and the use of draft horses and oxen for tillage and cultivation as much as possible. Abington Grown produce will be available at our weekend produce stand and through CSA memberships. We will be offering an Open House and Farm tour this summer, please check back for more details.
We-Li-Kit Farm has a high quality beef herd that represents us at various cattle competitions throughout New England including the Big E. We offer our beef for sale by the piece at the ice cream stand or large quantities can be ordered for the fall.
Currently we are best know for our We-Li-Kit Ice Cream, homemade right here on the farm in small batches and sold seasonally. Custom flavors can be made for large events in 5 gallon quantities, ice cream cakes are available made to order.
Our green house is open in the spring selling flowers, vegetable starts and a beautiful selection of hanging baskets and containers. In the fall orders are taken for custom handmade Holiday Wreaths made from our own and locally harvested greens.
