Craine Creek Farm, LLC, is a new state-of-the-art hydroponic greenhouse grower in the heart of Baldwin County. We are committed to growing the safest, cleanest, and tastiest herbs and lettuces for local markets.

We will begin harvesting the second week of March, and will continue weekly harvests all year long for a reliable supply of living lettuces and herbs. We are capable of growing just over 9,000 heads of specialty greens each month.

Our lettuces are grown for their flavors and textures. As well as their value as great sources for fiber they are rich in anti-oxidents, vitamins, and vital plant enzymes. They have superior shelf-life and all parts of the plant, besides the roots, are edible making for far less waste than many kinds of lettuce.

Our fresh herbs do not need refrigeration and will stay living if kept in indirect light with moist, not overly wet, roots. Add leaves to fresh salads and sandwishes for variety or to cooked dishes and soups.

Individuals may buy directly from the farm or may develop buying groups of friends and neighbors or co-workers. Local chefs, fresh farm markets, produce managers, and all interested parties are encouraged to contact the farm for an appointment to see the luscious lettuces and bodacious herbs we are pampering for you.

Our systems are computer-monitored 24/7 keeping the plants in optimum growing conditions that reach laboratory-like standards for cleanliness, efficiency and nutritional needs of the plants. We have no need for herbicides and do not use pesticides, focusing on preventive measures.
