A bitter-like tea with a dash of sweetness to relax and alleviate uterine cramping during menstruation.
Painful menstrual cramps (dysmenorrhea)can range from mild to severe and can involve the lower abdomen, back, or thighs.
During the menstrual cycle, the lining of the uterus produces a hormone called prostaglandin. This hormone causes the uterus to contract, often painfully. Women with severe cramps may produce higher-than-normal amounts of prostaglandin.
Secondary dysmenorrhea is a term used to describe painful menstrual cramping caused by a physical problem other than menstruation, i.e.: endometriosis, adenomyosis, ovarian cysts, polyps, fibroids, pelvic infections, sexually transmitted diseases, intrauterine device (IUD) or Structural problems that were present at birth (congenital), such as narrowing of the lower part of the uterus that opens into the vagina (cervix). This tea blend is not to be used for any of these conditions.
Can be used by women of all ages, even by young women who begin to menstruate at a young age.
Tea should not be taken by those with an allergy to salicylic acid or by nursing women.
Herbs in blend: Cramp Bark, Red Clover, Coltsfoot, Shepherds Purse, Raspberry, Leaf, Blackberry Leaf, Chamomile
