Crane Dance Farm

Named for the sandhill cranes that make the farm their home each spring, Crane Dance Farm nestles among the rolling hills, woodlands and wetlands of Barry County ~ a perfect setting for a grass-based, sustainable and humane farm. Providing chemical-free, healthy, and delicious pork, beef, lamb, chicken, duck, goose, turkey, heirloom chicken eggs and duck eggs is our life-goal as we work in harmony with the land and our animals.

Because we are committed to genetic diversity, we include endangered heirloom animals in our breeding stock and use open-pollinated, heirloom grains whenever possible in our feeds. We grind our own grain for the omnivores, using primarily certified organic grains grown by a local farmer specifically for us. Never do we apply toxic pesticides, herbicides, fertilizers or chemicals to our land. On Crane Dance Farm, lush pasture, portable pens, fresh air and sunshine nurture animals to thrive without the use of hormones, systemic biocides, or antibiotics.

When you know enough to eat the very best! We are a small farm, and we take great pride in knowing that we are doing the right thing for the planet. The vast majority of our ruminants, pigs, and poultry are bred, born, and raised on our farm, assuring quality control from breeding through processing. We avoid supporting any aspect of the industrial agricultural complex.

Jill and Mary, along with their various helpers, run the most loving farm I can imagine. We've had the pleasure of meeting them through our favorite Farmer's Market, and continue buying our meat through them even in the winter when they will come to the market once a month with orders ready.... Have toured the farm. Very impressed. The animals are treated with love and fed only the very best. This farm is the epitome of integrity.

Very unhappy with purchases. No better than the grocery store for the quality we received.
