The Crescent City Farmers Markets are two producer only markets operating 52 weeks a year. All items sold are food realated, no crafts, and range from cut flowers to seasonal produce to fresh caught seafood to baked goods. The markets are both fun places to be with lots of exciting people and happenings such as cooking demonstrations form local chefs and special events with local musicians performing.

When and Where

Saturday Market is open 8 a.m. until 12 noon every Saturday morning at 700 Magazine Street, rain or shine.

Tuesday Market is open 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. every Tuesday in the Uptown Square shopping center, rain or shine.

What's Ripe? This weekend at the farmers' market: Alligator, crowder peas, red, yellow and green bell peppers, heirloom zucchini, cucumbers, heirloom eggplants, neon eggplants, peaches, Japanese eggplants, okra, new potatoes, bedding plants, soft shell crabs (both whales and small ones), shrimp, white trout filets, live crabs, gorgeous summer bouquets, zenia bouquets, sunflower bouquets, cattails, bee pollen, pure fruit blossom honey, wide variety of homemade jams and preserves, and baked good
