This hat is handmade, I washed the wool and mohair after it was shorn, dyed the yarn with Acid Dye, crochet the hat then felted it. And I am proud to say my hat's got second place at the New York Sheep and Wool Festival.
The flower is needle felted, I have attached to a pin backing so it can be removed to wash the hat, or if you would like the flower can have a dual purpose as a broach.
I did not use scented soaps to wash the hat and it comes from a non-smoking home.
