Lovingly hand grown vegetables and fruits that include heirloom varieties like brandywine tomatoes and a large variety of herbs beyond just chives, sage, parsley, rosemary and thyme for you to try. I like to plant things that are different, such as: blue potatoes, dinosaur kale, purple carrots, red corn, purple asparagus, and purple green beans that change color, etc. Kids really think it is cool when their food changes color.
My gardens are meant to be a great food adventure so the contents of the tote change through the season. I encourage people to let me know if there are things not on my vegetable list that they enjoy. I am willing to grow those items as long as I can get the seeds. Spring is lighter vegetables while Fall includes a lot of the heavier items like squash and corn. Please take the time to look over the list and let me know if you have any questions.
Vegetables and Fruit that you are familiar with and some antique varieties that you will soon come to really appreciate. I love growing heirlooms because they have so much more character and flavor. I love the heritage breeds for the same reason, they do better on their own and most of them are real characters. I am very sensitive to food allergies. If you are allergic to an item , or if you just don't like it, I am more than willing to keep it out of your tote. I have put in small orchard and a large perennial garden and both are not yet mature. They are coming along nicely and I hope to be adding more varieties to the list of 'in your tote items' soon.
