I offer 10 shares from our gardens this year . We are a biodynamic garden growing foods for our family as well as offerring seeds, plants and foods on Local Harvest and to our local community . The cost is $600.00/year for a 24 week season . We ask our members to help in planting and harvesting .
I have many fruits that will be part of the CSA as available-. We also have pastured eggs from hens fed on organic, soy free feeds well as herbs and flowers .
I grow with our own seed as well as open- pollinated seeds from several seed companies .
The deadline to join March1st with shares starting in April1 and going to Nov1st . .We grow many rare and unusual varieties as well as berries, grapes and tree fruits . We have been growing our own foods here with our own compost for 35 years , using only organic/biodynamic methodsand never using any GMOS or commercial manures on our soil. . I am keeping the CSA small so we can share growing and food preparation skills with the members.
All of our seed offerings were grown here. We have been seed savers for 20 years. Our seeds are packaged in original art packets, hand folded with 100% recycled paper. Instructions for growing are not on the packs but are on the listing under seed template. Books on gardening as well as many catalogs carry general information on growing seeds. I am available by e-mail or phone to answer any growing questions as well. You won't find that service from many sources of seeds . The shipping on our orders also includes the processing and handling charges which is also less or equal to most seed companies. Remember we hand pack each order and drive from the farm to the post office to ship your order. I are not a big seed company, in fact not a company at all. I am homestead gardener.
