CSA:   Aardvark Alpacas   (June-October)

This is a fiber CSA. For your share you will receive a portion of the annual clip from our alpacas, made up into yarn. You will also receive cleaned 2nds that can be used for felting, crafting, rug making etc. We shear at the end of April and then will need time to clean and process the fiber into roving, batts or yarn (your choice)

Generally you will receive approximately 1 1/2lbs of processed alpaca fiber. If you have a color preference, or want only one natural color, we will try to accommodate as much as possible.

There is an extra charge for hand painted yarns.

Also included at no extra charge is a 1 lb bag of "alpaca tea" compost for fertilizing both inside and outside plants.

Another addition, to your package is a bag of rejected fiber (for processing)that can be hung outside in the spring for birds collecting nesting materials. Included FREE is instructions to make your own hanging bag for the nesting materials!

Each year you will also receive a FREE knitted or crocheted pattern to make with your alpaca yarn.

You will be able to keep updated by reading our blog and finding out what is going on at the farm. Farm visits are welcomed.

The great thing about a fiber CSA? You don't have to live locally to take advantage of getting your own alpaca fiber/yarn, plus all the other added extras - we can mail to you! (for just the shipping costs)
