Our farm sponsors a steer share program of whole, half and split quarter shares of all natural, all grass-finished steers on the hoof. All animals are born and raised entirely on our farm. Shares of steers are priced by-the-pound live weight. As of March 4, 2013, shares of two beeves are available from Yoder Brothers Meat Processing in Paris, TN. This beef is being dry-cool aged and will be ready for cutting and processing very soon. With prior arrangement, we can deliver a whole beef to a single buyer or a buyers' club group within a one-hundred-mile radius. Shareholders may organize their own buyers' clubs for those who want smaller shares. Or contact us for the price of half or quarter shares. Shares of all-grassfed beef are usually available in summer, fall and early winter: Yoder's Slaughterhouse, a small Amish-run facility with a long waiting list of customers, has limited available dates which we arrange a year in advance. A total of 16 of our beef steers have been scheduled in advance for custom processing at Yoder's Slaughterhouse in 2013. A deposit will hold your choice of dates and shares in the order in which they are received, and earn free delivery of your steer to the processor.   Delivery dates are as follows: July 2, 2013 Two (2) beeves; (already reserved) July 9, 2013 Two (2) beeves; (one reserved) July 30, 2013 Four (4) beeves; August 13, 2013 Four (4) beeves; November 19, 2013 Three (3) beeves. Other dates may be arranged if Yoders Slaughterhouse receives word of cancellations from other farmers.   Shares available are whole beeves (deposit to reserve is $200), sides or halves (deposit $100) and split quarters (for two partners, deposit $75 each). We sometimes make deliveries to other processors. With one month's advance notice, cattle can be delivered to Yoder Bros. Meat Processing in Paris, TN, to Ross Packing in Paducah, or to a processor of your preference.
