This will be our tenth year running a CSA and we have grown from 10 to well over 100 members. Join us to celebrate our decade as a CSA! A share consists of a typically overflowing half bushel box containing 5-15 pounds of fresh sustainably harvested produce, with rare and heirloom varieties many weeks. We strive for variety and baskets often contain 8 or more types of produce. In 2011 our shares averaged to around 12 pounds of produce a week with lighter weeks in the early season and shares of in excess of 20 pounds in the fall. We strive for our weekly share to consist of a "core" of items including a leafy green (lettuce, mustard, spinach), a hearty green (kale, collards, chard), a root crop (carrots, beets, turnip, potatoes), and an onion (spring onions, green onions, onions, or leeks.) To that we add seasonal produce in the form of summer squash, winter squash, tomatoes, peppers, broccoli, cauliflower, herbs, garlic, green beans, cucumber, cabbage, and many many more. We grow over 100 varieties of produce and expect most of those to make their way to you at least one week. We also have a fall share which is two pickups of storage crops. This is an additional share and is available for an additional fee in three size options.
