The leaves are chopped and used with stuffing, salads and meats. Cut in thin slices and add to sandwiches. Cuban oregano can also be used as a substitute for sage.
Also known as Spanish thyme, oregano brujo, broadleaf thyme and big thyme, but the flavor is definitely oregano. Botanically, it's Plectranthus amboinicus.
Grow anywhere as an annual. Perennial in Zones 9 & higher. Also grows well in windowsill herb gardens!
