This has been an awesome learning experience on varieties, how to grow it and how to use it.
I have also ventured into Canning. I enjoy making different kinds of Jams, Jellies and Pickles. I try to make things that are different, that you cannot just buy at the local grocery store. I also try to use things out of my own garden for the canning. If I cannot get it out of my garden, then I try to buy it locally. My last resort is the grocery store. I have really had fun with some of the jellies used for hour de vours, Strawberry Habenero Jam, Raspberry Jalepeno Jelly and most recently Garlic Jelly.
At my stand at the Farmers Market I sell produce, fresh eggs, jams, jellies, pickles and baked goods.
