This jacob yarn is soft and springy with a nice handle to it. It has a little big of sparkle (angelina/firestar) added to it. Jacob wool is perfect for knitting or weaving blankets, sweaters, socks, and ponchos. It dyes beautifully as well.
Kenleigh Acres is located in the beautiful Willamette Valley. We have a flock of 50 Registered Jacob Sheep - that we raise for breeding stock, fleece/fiber, unique lawn mowers, and natural locker lamb. The Jacob is a rare breed listed by the American Livestock Breeds Conservancy (ALBC). Our lambs are born and raised on Oregon's lush green pastures, the sheep have continuous and unconfined access throughout their lives. Jacob fleeces are light and open, and a delight for handspinners. Due to the spotting, the wool can be spun into a complete spectrum from white through gray/lilac to black.
