Amidst the 1,100 acres of diverse habitats at the Kalamazoo Nature Center, the fertile lands of the Historic DeLano Farms are cultivated. We produce a variety of wholesome food in harmony with our enviroment. This is your connection to the land. Our CSA uses a "Market Style" pick-up on the farm. This offers share holders a choice in what fills their share. For 21 weeks from late May through October with a Thanksgiving and a Holiday pick-up we harvest and prep the finest from the farm. The DeLano Farms CSA is FULL for the 2012 season. Visit www.naturecenter.org to be placed on the wait list for the 2013 season. CSA is a great way for your family to enjoy local, fresh food all summer long while connecting to the farm each week when you pick up your share.

For most of human history, people were connected to the land that fed them. Spring meant young tender lettuces and greens. Summer brings our favorites, including tomatoes, melons and peppers. Fall offers squashes and those long season comfort foods. Eating with the seasons brings peak flavors and nutrition. It is local and good for so many reasons.
