DogWood Farm & Dancing Goat Creamery

Byron Center, Michigan
Family Farm

I have a small herb and goat farm in Byron Center, Michigan. DogWood produces goat's milk which we turn into Dancing Goat Cheese and Udderly Wonderful Soap. Our entire operation is based on a delightful herd of Alpine goats. We believe in sustainable farming and ethical treatment of farm animals. The goats are on nice pasture, always have barn access and are regularly fed browse and treats from the neighborhood children.

Our product is available at several local restaurants, small locally owned retailers and the Byron Farmers market. We belong to Slow Food, Local First, American Dairy Goat Association, Soapmakers Guild and the Herb Society of America.

DogWood has a large herb garden, a vegetable garden containing heirloom vegetables and several heritage chickens. Cheesemaking and soapmaking classes are available on the farm. We do allow farm tours and will take on interns.
