Downtown Ravenna Farmers Market will provide an influx of locally grown, fresh food options and improve accessibility of healthy food products for those living in a food desert. The Ohio State University Extension will offer educational sessions for both food producers and consumers, including nutrition and dietary exchange; food safety and handling; preparation; and storage and preservation. The market is located at the corner of Meridian and Cedar Streets in Ravenna OH. Beginning May 17, 2012, it is open every Thursday 2:00 - 6:00 p.m. You will find honey & bee products, maple syrup, fruits & vegetables, baked goods, seedlings and more! You can increase your access to healthy local food and help local farmers at the new farmers market!
