Dragon fruit, also know as Pitaya or Pitahaya, is grown in Kona turned into a unique jam with a natural hint of berry and lime.
Dragon Fruit are pink to dark-red color. The ripe fruit looks like the kohlrabi cabbage and has an oval shape.
When ripe, the fruit peels easily. Its pulp can be white,pink or purple and is gelatinous. It contains many seeds, like kiwi, which look like black sesame seeds.
The jam is made with purple dragon fruit giving it a berry like taste.
