Basil is often considered an essential ingredient in both Italian and Thai cuisine. It is the ultimate complement to tomatoes. It goes very well with onions, garlic, and olives. It is the main ingredient in pesto.

I start my basil early in the spring from organic seed and continue to grow the basil naturally. During the summer I cut and carefully dry and pack the basil in a zip lock bag to fill your order. The basil is best stored in the freezer.

Dried basil should be stored in a cool, dark place away from heat and light. As with all dried herbs, basil begins to lose its potency within 6 months. The dried basil that you purchase from your grocer most likely has been sitting on their shelf for months by the time you buy it. If you want the best tasting dried basil order it directly from me.
