One of the most important herbs grown on our farm is Basil! We use it almost on a daily basis, from the traditional Sunday Tomato Sauce, to our summer favorite Pesto Sauce.
We naturally dry our basil by hanging it out to dry in a sunny spot in our kitchen. Then it is hand crushed and sifted through a strainer.
Here on Campagnola Farms, we practice old-fashioned, traditional farming methods. We fertilize the land using manure from our livestock. All of our animals are either completely free-range or at the very least have access to a large amount of pasture.
We are, quite simply, a small homestead which sells only what we produce in surplus. The only piece of modern machinery we use, is an antique 1952 Ford 8n Tractor by the name of "Bessy". We don't even have a barn, instead we use a series of small out building for our animals.
