These birdhouse gourds were peacefully grown in my back yard with no pesticides, herbicides or chemical fertilizers. They have been naturally dried by nature, and have their epidermis intact. These are hard shelled, and thick skinned, making them suitable for crafts, birdhouses or beautiful natural decorations.
Gourds shown in the picture are not the actual ones for sale, but are an accurate representation of the shape / color you will receive.
As an added bonus, they are full of viable seeds so that you can grow your own gourds in coming years if you choose!
Each gourd is unique - each one is slightly different in size shape and color.
This year I have 3 sizes to choose from:
LARGE: 13" high x 8" across (diameter)
MEDIUM: 9" high x 7" across (diameter)
SMALL: 7"-9" high x 5"-6" across (diameter)
These gourds are from the 2011 growing season and have been drying / curing for the past year.. They have not been treated in any way, and still have their original epidermis. These are hard shelled gourds, and should be suitable for most crafting purposes.

NO pesticides, herbicides or unnatural chemical fertilizers have been used in the production of any product offered in my online store here at LocalHarvest.org
My seeds are harvested and cleaned by hand, and are fresh for the season specified. I never sell old seed. As a result of hand cleaning, there may be some small amount of "natural" material (chafe) included with your seeds, especially the tiny ones. Just plant it with your seeds!
All of my seeds and plants are produced using organic methods.
All orders are currently being shipped on Monday, via USPS. Please allow 5-10 business days for the Post Office to deliver your see - remember that snail mail is just that...SLOW!!
Note that I do not use bubble wrap (never goes away), instead I use compostable packing/ mailing materials
