Folks are always asking if we've added sugar to our dried pears. Of course not! We just use our excellent Bartlett pears, cut them in half, lightly sulphur, and sunshine-dry them! (Same drying trays as our apricots ). We keep them low in sulphur and moist. They're like a dessert......really.....they're super-sweet, soft & buttery, a little grain-y, and high in fiber. (More fiber in pears than in prunes). Moderation is the key, (no more than 4 a day)....... pears have become our latest addiction.
Grab our cherries, make a line of cherries on your flat pear, roll the pear up like a taco &you have the Killer
Pear-Cherry Taco! We love this!
The best tasting apricot in the world (and the only one worth buying) is the Blenheim apricot. Our family has been growing the fabulous apricots since 1947 & we're positive there's no better apricot. Apricots are our specialty & ours are the best in the world.
