Duck eggs are sold in half dozen quantities. It's March and the girls are just getting started for the season.

In the photo I have two brown extra large chicken eggs for comparison. The duck eggs are white. Our Muscovy and Khaki Campbell Ducks are working ducks. At the Blue Spoon Farm we are taking a holisitic approach to farming. Thinking in terms of whole biological systems and balancing those systems, carefully. Our ducks live on the pasture with the goats and eat all sorts of creatures. They are working to keep our goats free from pasture pests. Unlike wading ducks Muscovies are tree ducks. They like to roost up high. They have sharp claws and they fly. They lay large eggs about the same size as the turkey eggs. They have crests on their heads and when startled they don't quack like you might expect they sort of siss. They sound more like dogs panting than ducks quacking. When they greet each other they wag their tails and bob their heads up and down. They entwine their necks and rub their necks on each other in greeting. Muscovy Ducks (Cairina moschata) are a duck native to South America but they do well in cold climates. Come to the farm and meet our ducks.

Eggs can now be shipped. When eggs are shipped they are packed in an insulated box with an ice pack. The customer will pay $10 to the farm for packaging and will pay FedEx directly for 2 day or faster shipping.

If you pick up your eggs on the farm, or near by, you will not pay the extra cost of packaging.

All products are available on a first come first served basis. Some items may be out of stock or unavailable at certain times of the year. Items can be picked up at the Farm or may be delivered to an area near by.
