Prof. Warren Porter is the Chair of the Zoology Department at the University of Wisconsin at Madison. His speech at the Rodale Institute in June, 2008 details what science is learning about the impact of pesticide use on human health and genetics. His presentation includes new information about pesticide damage passed genetically over multi-generations.

The research he presents with detailed Power Point slides presents a strong and disturbing critique of industrial agriculture and its massive use of toxic pesticides.

This video offers an introduction to both the ideas and biological processes of pesticide use's impact on human health and genetic resilience.

Chris Bedford makes films and videos designed to help communities build a sustainable economy -- beginning with a local, healthy food system. "Food is the beginning. As citizens and consumers we can help turn the economy towards true ecological sustainability through our food purchases."

As an activist, Chris Bedford founded the Floyd Boulevard Local Foods Market in Sioux City, IA and the Sweetwater Local Foods Market in Muskegon, Michigan. He is currently President of the Sweetwater market - www.sweetwaterlocalfoodsmarket.org.

He also frequently speaks with his films at events and conferences. Visit his website at www.chrisbedfordfilms.com for more information.
