Edgefield Farm produces high-quality lamb on hilltop pastures under humane conditions. During the growing season, we manage our sheep pastures with intensive roational grazing techniques. After weaning, lambs receive natural whole grains in addition to their pasture diet to ensure healthy growth rates and adequate energy.

We raise Texel and Texel-cross sheep. The Texel breed is known throughout the world for producing some of the meatiest lambs available. Rib and loin chops are very large compared with other sheep breeds, and the meat is lean and tender.

Lamb is available seasonally (late fall and through the winter) by special order. We generally accept orders for whole or half lambs only, but occasionally have individual cuts available for retail sale. (more...)
