Edgefield Farm produces meats and vegetables with care and respect for the soil, the plants, the animals, and the people who are part of our farm ecosystem and economy. That care comes through in the flavors of the meat, eggs, and vegetables on your table.
Based in the fertile Connecticut River Valley of New Hampshire, Edgefield Farm manages more than 80 acres of pasture and crop land in Westmoreland and Chesterfield to produce high quality produce from mache to squash and animal products including eggs, pastured chicken, heritage breed turkeys, pastured pork, and of course our signature lamb.
All of our animal production is free-range. Animals are reared outside, and fed diets that are appropriate to their nutritional needs. We use low-stress production and handling systems. We select breeds of animals that grow at moderate rates, which improves flavor and texture of the meats.
Vegetables are raised on some of the most productive soils in the world. We put back at least as much as we take out of the soil using compost and cover crops.
