Owners Wendy (VanDriel) and her husband Greg Wheeler have partnered with local attorney David La Grand. Their collective goal is to run a sustainable cattle farm. With 60 head grazing approximately 200 acres the partners use native grasses as feed (no pesticide/synthetic fertilizer) to preserve top soil, sequester CO2 and maintain a healthy environment for native wildlife. Their stock receives no growth hormones or antibiotics. Nearly four miles of electric fencing is powered entirely by two small solar panels mounted on fence posts.
Wendy & Greg walk fences daily to check for damage and interact with the herd to survey the health of each animal. If you're looking for beef of the highest quality, Wendy/Greg can be found at the Ada Farmers' Market on Tuesdays & the YMCA Market on Thursdays, June through September.
