Elephant garlic can be added to stir-fries and other dishes in place of onions. It is also often roasted and spread on a crispy baquette or added to pasta dishes.
We like to pull Elephant garlic early in the summer and use it like a leek. Chop the entire bulb and green leaves into soups, stir-fries and casseroles!
Elephant garlic also has beautiful foliage and a large purple allium flower and is a great addition to the ornamental garden!
